The Sunday Night Scaries: How a Different Kind of School Can End Weekly Stress

    02/02/2026

Every Sunday evening, the same scene unfolds in countless homes across DC, Maryland, and beyond. A child who was laughing and carefree just hours ago grows quiet. Their shoulders tense. The complaints begin: stomachaches, headaches, sudden tiredness. When you ask what’s wrong, the answer comes reluctantly: “I don’t want to go to school tomorrow.”

Educating for Adaptability: Montessori from Early Childhood Through Adolescence

    03/01/2025

In her observations, Montessori found that adaptation is a fundamental trait of humans. She wrote that adaptation is “the ground we stand on” as human beings. This has allowed humans to create cultures and societies in infinite different forms across the globe.

The Top Ten Reasons Why Montessori is Successful

Family is not measured by the number of chairs around the dining table, but by the names we give to those who care for us. It’s not the food we eat, the clothes we wear, the shows we watch or the games we play.

Family is our love and mutual respect for each other. Forging a community that extends to the home of every student. We find family by coming together in shared moments. Offering celebration in triumph, compassion in sadness, guidance and wisdom for every semester.

We believe family is central to everything we do because humanity is at its best when we work together.

Welcome to Oneness-Family School.
