  • Part-Time Toddler Aftercare Assistant

    The Oneness-Family School in Chevy Chase, Maryland, seeks a toddler extended day assistant to carry out the School’s mission of peace education within our 2-3-year-old program. This is a part-time 3:00 – 6:00 pm job working alongside the Lead Aftercare teacher to ensure the safety and education of our young students aged 2-3.

    The salary is $20 per hour, and we would like the person to enroll in 90 hours of an early childhood learning class, for which we will pay the fee. If hired and all required documents in order, the individual may begin right away.

    Priority will be given to applicants with experience working with groups of children in an education-based setting.

    Qualities and Characteristics of the Ideal Candidate

    Oneness-Family School in Chevy Chase, Maryland, seeks a dynamic, kind, and loving Yoga Instructor for students aged 4 through 12. For over 35 years, Oneness-Family School has educated children to become leaders of tomorrow. It is very proud of its richly diverse and international community of faculty, staff, and students.

    This is a part-time position (approximately 8 hours/week). Classes are grouped by age level and meet at various times during the week between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm. We are looking for someone with experience teaching children in small groups, preferably with experience working in schools. Creative lesson plans and a warm heart are required.     Oneness-Family Montessori High School is seeking a High School STEM Teacher (Full Time) to join our motivated and collaborative teaching team for the 2025/26 school year. The STEM Teacher will work with the teaching team to plan, teach, and oversee the stem curriculum from grades 9-12 within the framework of a Montessori Adolescent program. Courses will range from Algebra 1 to Calculus and Life and Physical Sciences, among other interdisciplinary elective options based on the interests and expertise of the candidate.

    While Montessori training is preferred, the ideal candidate can execute a student-centered, project-based, innovative program and possesses a flexible mindset and approach to learning.

    The Montessori Adolescent Teacher accepts the challenge and the privilege of maintaining the role of a stable adult presence within the prepared adolescent environment.     • Participate in interviews and discussions regarding admissions.
    • Chaperone beginning and end of the year overnight trips.
    • Supervise students during work time.
    • Support the team in additional areas of our program, such as Leadership, P.E, student trips, etc.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field, Master’s degree strongly preferred
    • At least two years experience teaching at the high school level

    Those without a Montessori Adolescent certification will need to take the virtual Adolescent Orientation course in July through the Association Montessori Internationale and commit to earning a full credential within two years of employment.

  • Substitute Teacher: NOW FILLED

    We are looking for dynamic, creative and dedicated substitute teachers to join our school.

    Seeking substitute teachers for all of our grades and programs—from 2 years old, pre-school, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, elementary grades 1st through 5th, and all the way up to high school. Montessori training preferred but not required. Different subbing opportunities are available for full day (8:00 am to 4:00 pm) and aftercare (3:00 pm to 6:00 pm) Monday through Friday, with opportunities for additional hours for event staffing and childcare.

    Experience working with children required. Please outline your experience working with children in your cover letter. Those candidates for early childhood education grade levels with 45 hour and 90 hour training/certification will get precedence.
