Peace Academy: A Wonderful Week One

Dear Peace Academy Families,

What a wonderful first week in Peace Academy! Our classroom has already been filled with curiosity, laughter, new routines, and lots of getting to know one another. We have loved spending these first few days with your children and beginning to discover all of the unique personalities, interests, and ideas that will make our community so special this year.

After a busy and exciting first week, we hope everyone enjoys the three-day weekend! We are also looking forward to seeing many of you at our Family Brunch this Saturday and having a chance to spend some time together as a community.

A few reminders and adventures on the horizon:

• Dismissal: Peace Academy’s dismissal time is 3:40 p.m. each day.

• September 16: We will lace up our walking shoes and head out for a morning hike!

• September 30: We will venture to the Bethesda Library, followed by some time to enjoy the park together.

We are so happy to have our Peace Academy community together and cannot wait for all of the learning, exploring, creating, and growing this year will bring.

The Oneness-Family School primary program for students in preschool through kindergarten is grounded in the child-centered, Montessori approach. Middle School

The only Montessori middle school in the region, our students thrive in this academically challenging, interdisciplinary program, developing the time-management, work habits, and social skills important in high school and beyond. Students are encouraged to think critically on how they can make a difference on local, national, and global levels.
