Hello Arbor Families!
I hope you’re staying warm! Winter is in full effect, and in order for our students to go outside, please make sure you’re sending them in with cold weather gear (preferably labeled with names/initials).
Please also remember to send in snack with your student, as many of them are very hungry by the time lunch or dismissal rolls around. Students in the musical are asked to bring their own snack as well.
Here are some important dates:
- We have no school this Monday, January 19th (MLK Day) or Friday, January 30th (teacher training day).
- Thursday, January 29th is Montessori Night! If you would like to attend, please RSVP here. This link also includes the childcare sign up, featuring a pizza dinner and a performance from the Great Zucchini! Third year students will be in the classroom, guiding visitors through works and answering questions.
- The Arbor will celebrate Valentine’s Day on Friday, February 13th. Students are encouraged (but not required) to give out cards or small non-food items, such as erasers, pencils, or keychains. The Arbor policy is if a student wants to hand out cards/items, they must have one for everyone in the class. Please help your student choose something that is easy to pass out! We have included a class roster to help with writing cards to everyone. We’d also ask that you save any Valentine’s Day candy for after school.
- Reminder that the culture project is due February 11th. I will be checking in with students next week to make sure that they’re working on the writing portion. While the students should be in charge of making their dioramas, we kindly ask that you help them acquire the needed materials. Please let me know if you have any questions!
We hope you enjoy a lovely long weekend, and look forward to seeing you on Tuesday!
Kelly, Shelby, and Sara
