Friday Update – January 9

Dear Peace Academy Families,

Happy Friday! As we settle into the rhythm of January, the children are diving beautifully into their work cycles with focus, curiosity, and growing independence. It has been such a joy to observe their deep engagement, thoughtful conversations, and the care they show for one another in our community. Thank you, as always, for your partnership and support.

We have some exciting experiences coming up and wanted to be sure these are on your radar:

Upcoming Field Trips:

  • Wednesday, January 21st:  National Museum of Natural History
A wonderful opportunity to connect our current studies to real-world exploration through exhibits on natural science, history, and the wonders of our planet.
  • Monday, February 2nd: National Building Museum (Very Special Trip!)
This is a truly special experience for our students, and we are so excited to explore architecture, design, and engineering in this incredible space. More details will be coming soon!
  • No School: January 19th and January 30th

Montessori Night: Thursday January 29th

We are excited to share that Oneness-Family School will be celebrating our annual Montessori Night on Wednesday, January 29 at 6:00 pm! This special evening is an opportunity to experience Montessori through the eyes of our students, as 5th graders present some of their favorite Montessori works and families visit classrooms to see student demonstrations. See the Oneness Compass for more information.

As always, please reach out with any questions, thoughts, or wonders. We are so grateful to be walking alongside your children during this important season of growth and discovery.

Wishing you a peaceful and restorative weekend,
Warmly,
Emiko and Andrea
