Field Day 2026

Hello OFS Fam!

Here are the major updates, please review: UPDATED FIELD DAY – Full Scope Updated 2026-2027

To make this event as community building as possible, please review these changes, please help me with #5 :

  1. The goal of field day is to be focused on collaboration, fun, and building community. Students can take breaks when needed in our “Chill Zone” which will be available the entire time with Victorine and Ariel.
  2. No competitive vibes
  3. All groups (5 groups total) are mixed aged and will have two teachers to help chaperone/support
  4. No Pizza. Fruit Ice Pops For Everyone! Please remind the students to bring their lunch, sunblock, a change of clothes whatever you see fit for these activities.
  5. We want to build FIVE teams, each team should have two teachers and students from CPG, Arbor, Academy and Ambassadors (please help us build the teams here, we have partnered you with another teacher):
  6. SOS Tent in blue – Due to student medical needs, we will have a medical tent up which will be discreetly placed for high needs medical needs for privacy.

GAMES LIST:

Organize Mixed Age Groups – each group should have students CPG , Arbor, Academy and Ambassadors. The teams are pre-determined (list will be sent out Friday EOD once I’ve had a chance to check with all the teachers)

Bear, Fish, Mosquito – All at once for 20 min

Field Day Stations (10 minute rounds with 5 minute breaks in between as needed) 

  1. Sac Bag Race 
  2. Sponge Running Relay Race 
  3. Water Cup Game
  4.  Long Jump
  5. Obstacle Course  
  6. Optional Field Games: Cornhole, Bubble Station, Tattoos w/Sponges, Park Clean Up

Middle School

The only Montessori middle school in the region, our students thrive in this academically challenging, interdisciplinary program, developing the time-management, work habits, and social skills important in high school and beyond. Students are encouraged to think critically on how they can make a difference on local, national, and global levels.
