Cycle 2 Week 9 Midweek Minute

Good afternoon,

Everyone has been hard at work on their final projects for the cycle. For their Natural World final project, the groups have been working on designing their own imaginary species and creating traits for the species that follow the genetic rules that they have studied. For Social World they have been creating a travel guide for one of the civilizations they have been learning about.

Monday, February 23rd — Personal World Final Projects Due; 6th Grade Literature Projects Due

Students have Personal World final projects to complete independently outside of school. Next week, during final projects is a great time to work on these during homework time. All students also have literature projects to complete although the due date for 6th graders is different than for 7th and 8th graders. The 7th and 8th Grade literature projects are due Friday, February 27th.

Tuesday, February 24th — On Campus: Acknowledgements Celebration

Students, please complete the GoogleForm to select your choices no later than Friday evening if you want your preferences considered.

To celebrate our first filling of our acknowledgements jar we will be having a movie (to be chosen by the students from a curated list) and a pizza lunch. We will provide cheese and pepperoni pizza and students are welcome to bring a lunch if they would like to eat their own food instead of (or in addition to) the pizza provided.

Monday, March 2 — Cycle 3 Begins

As usual, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Take care,

Hannah and Pearl
