We are thrilled to announce that Oneness-Family High School senior, Dechen Dyson-Marshall, has been selected as one of Bethesda Magazine’s Extraordinary Teens!
“What makes Dechen an extraordinary student is that they’ve had both a physical and cultural impact. They are stewards of our school’s culture in terms of support, mentorship, and kindness they show in our community, but also they’ve physically transformed space in really meaningful ways,” says social studies teacher Andrew Faulstich.
Dechen has been busy with many projects this year, including a diversity audit of the OFHS library, the design and creation of a self-discovery space for students on campus, with their work as a teaching assistant in the school’s U.S history course, and as a leader with student government. They have truly played a vital role in shaping the educational experience for their peers.
