OFHS Holiday Party, Early Dismissal & Festival of Lights – Friday

Hi OFHS Families,

This Friday is the last day of school before winter break—wow, where has the time gone! We are looking forward to a fun and meaningful day as students celebrate the end of 2025 and prepare for our evening at Festival of Lights, the culminating experience for their Production and Exchange class.

Toward the end of the school day, students will enjoy a small Holiday Party together to kick winter break off right! They have expressed interest in having a simple potluck to celebrate with one another. Please feel free to send a yummy treat or dish to school with your student. This is completely optional, and students should still bring their regular lunch as usual—we simply wanted to honor their excitement about sharing food together.

Please note that students will have early dismissal at 2:00 PM this Friday. All students must be picked up or take public transportation home, as they are not able to remain on campus after dismissal.

All students must then return to the Lower School at 4:30 PM to prepare for the Festival of Lights. The current agenda for the evening is as follows:

  • 4:30 – 5:30 PM: Setup for Bazaar in Parish Hall / Mic check for performers
  • 5:30 – 6:00 PM: Bazaar (Part 1)
  • 6:00 – 7:00 PM: Show in the Sanctuary
  • 7:00 – 7:30 PM: Bazaar (Part 2)
  • 7:30 – 8:00 PM: Cleanup and dismissal

These are the current student groups and their responsibilities. Families are welcome to support if they would like:

  • Tote Bags: Aria, Alyssa, Julien, Nikhil, Isla
  • Mystery Boxes: Sofia, Morgan, Judah
  • Candles: Chase, Martin, Avery
  • Performers: Nikhil, Julien

Please let us know if you have any questions. We hope to see you all on Friday evening and can’t wait to celebrate the wonderful work students have created since the beginning of the school year.

Best,
The OFHS Team
