Dear Peace Academy Families,
We cannot believe we are already at the end of the school year! Thank you for all of your support, encouragement, and partnership throughout this very special year together. The final Friday Letter of the year is in your child’s Friday Folder today.
Here are the final activities and celebrations planned for our last week of school:
INDEPENDENT PROJECTS & PRESENTATIONS
As we head into the final week of school, please take some time this weekend to check in with your child about their Independent Project. They may want to practice their presentation with you and continue working on the creative component of their project at home. Anything worked on at home can be emailed to us so your child can continue working on it in class as well.
We are so excited to see all of their hard work and creativity come together! Independent Project Presentations will take place on the morning of Wednesday, June 3 (9am – 12pm). Presentation schedule will be sent on Monday.
LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL SCHEDULE
(Also known as Spirit Week!)
Monday: Field Day
Students should bring:
- A packed lunch
- A labeled water bottle
- A layer of clothing (forecasted temperatures range from 50–80 degrees)
- Sunscreen/sunblock
We will be spending most of the day outdoors and will return to campus around 1:00 PM.
Tuesday: Pajama Day
Students may wear pajamas for a cozy and comfy day at school. Our World Language classes will also be holding a special movie day.
Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday & Locker Pack-Up
Students can wear their wackiest school-appropriate outfits as we celebrate the final days of school together.
Thursday: Game Day (& Idioms Day!) + Locker Pack-Up + SGA Luncheon Celebration
Students may bring a favorite game from home to play with classmates. Our class has loved studying idioms this year, and many students are excited to dress as an idiom!
Examples include: “Two Peas in a Pod”, “Raining Cats and Dogs”, “Piece of Cake”
Friday: Graduation Day!
On our final day of school, students will arrive in the morning by 9am. The first half of the day will be dedicated to our Graduation Ceremony. Once the ceremony has concluded around 11:30am, students will be dismissed directly from their classrooms.
We are looking forward to ending the year with so much joy, celebration, and community. Thank you again for sharing your wonderful children with us this year — it has truly been a privilege.
Warmly,
Emiko & Andrea
