Good afternoon,
It is hard to believe that the end of the year is next week. After our week away, regular classroom life has set back in. Thank you to those who were able to join us for final project presentations on Tuesday; the students always appreciate your participation and feedback (and the snacks that have been provided each cycle this year — Thank You!).
Important Dates and Reminders
Thursday, May 28 — NW Theme Test
Friday, May 29th — Community Meeting 9:00 AM: Levine Student Performances
If you are able, please feel free to join us for Levine student performances from 9:00-9:30 AM in the Parish Hall.
Monday, June 1st — Field Day
We will have our annual whole-school Field Day at Norwood Park. Students should arrive at school at the usual time and shortly after arrival we will head over to the park for group games and activities. Students should dress for a day of outdoor physical activity and come with a non-microwave lunch and snacks, a full water bottle, sunscreen, and bug repellent. You may also want a hat and/or sunglasses. We will return to school in time for regular dismissal.
Tuesday, June 2nd — Field Trip: Gunpowder Falls State Park
Weather-permitting we will be swimming and hanging out on the beach at Gunpowder Falls State Park. Our rain plan is an indoor pool that we have visited the last two years. Students should bring a non-microwave lunch and snacks, a full water bottle, sunscreen, and bug repellent. Students should come to school with a bathing suit under their clothes and a towel. There will be an opportunity to change before returning to school. You may also want a hat and/or sunglasses. We will return to school in time for regular dismissal.
Friday, June 5th — Graduation
Student arrival is at the regular time. The ceremony is at 9:30AM in the Sanctuary and all families are invited to attend. Doors will open at 9:15 if you want to get a good seat. Dismissal will follow the event; for students whose parents cannot attend, dismissal will be at 11:30.
Monday, June 8th & Tuesday, June 9th — Optional Parent-Teacher Conferences
Sign-ups for these optional conferences are available on the Parent Portal. As a reminder, students will not be leading these conferences and it is up to parents whether students are expected to attend or not.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Take care.
