Brookside Gardens – April 30

Hello Families

Tomorrow our two classrooms will go to the beautiful Brookside Gardens for a nature walk and entry into the live butterfly encounter. We will bring lunches but leave them in the bus during our visit, as we will then drive to Wheaton Regional Park to make use of their picnic area before returning to campus.

Before that, the bus will drop us off at the main visitor’s center around 9:30. Arriving at Oneness close to 8:30 will give us time to have students put on their T-shirts and use the bathroom before boarding the bus.

Remember to save the date for the CPG Spring Special, our student performance event and mini family picnic. That is Friday, May 15 and we hope all parents will attend. It takes place from 9:00 until about 11 or 11:30, beginning with our Moon and Sun Room performance on campus and then a family gathering at Norwood Park, weather permitting. The Parish Hall is our probable backup location. This is our most important event of the year, as all children will work to make treats, rehearse their performance, and create special projects for the event. We hope you can all come, and we will send more details and information soon.

Future field trips:

May 21 to National Zoo for Sun Room

May 28 to National Zoo for Moon Room–
