Friday Update – April 3

Good afternoon, Families,

We hope your student had a wonderful first week back after break. We were happy to welcome them, and begin our spring units of study. This cycle, students will engage in reading and writing poetry, study animal migration, and our Natural World unit focuses on sound and light waves. Though we have not yet introduced Independent Study, it’s on the horizon too!

As we begin our sound and light unit, we are going to listen to music in our classroom. We have a Bluetooth speaker and can share songs students select in this manner, we can play cd’s and…we also have a record player! If you happen to have some vinyl at home which you would be alright lending us for a day, we would love to share music in this format with students.

On Monday, the 6th, drop off before Echo Hill, please arrive between 8:30 am and 9:00. Please drop off your student’s Echo Hill gear on the blacktop. If you have medications, please come up to the classroom to check in with Andrea and Emiko. At 9:00 am we will start our morning meeting in the classroom and then pack up the bus. Adventure awaits! We will share updates with you throughout the trip as we’re able, through Estefani.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Andrea and Emiko
