Cycle 3 Week 4 Late Week Update

Good afternoon,

Kudos to all of our students for preparing for and presenting at Science Fair so well. They engaged their audience and demonstrated a deep understanding of their topics.

We hope everyone had a chance to rest during Spring Break. This week, we jumped right back into our academic work which was a bit of a challenge after a few short weeks in a row followed by a full week off. Despite the challenge of returning to a full week, everyone worked hard and persisted.

This week in Natural World, students learned about the structures of the systems (digestive, respiratory, circulatory, reproductive) of animals and then began to research individual phyla and classes that they will share with their classmates.

Important Dates and Reminders

Spring Trip — Registration and Payment due 4/30; Trip dates 5/18-5/22

We sent an email earlier this week with details about the spring trip to Nature’s Classroom Institute. Please make sure to read through that email and the attached letter carefully. If, after reading the information, you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email us or schedule a meeting using the link on our class page.

Friday, April 10 — Bingo Night

For our final fundraising event of the year, the Peace Ambassadors will be hosting our third annual Family Bingo Night. This is an evening event and everyone is expected to work the entire event (there will be breaks for those who want to play bingo). For this event, students will stay after school and begin set-up at 4:00 PM and will stay through clean-up (the event ends at 8:00PM so we hope to be finished cleaning up no later than 9:00PM). We will provide a pizza dinner for the students.  Parent volunteers to help with clean-up would be greatly appreciated. If your student cannot attend due to a prior commitment, please let us know ASAP so we can plan accordingly.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Take care.

Hannah and Pearl
