Hello Arbor Families!
While conferences are ongoing, I wanted to give you a heads up about some other important dates:
- Monday, March 9th, we’ll be having a field trip to Meadowbrook for a nice spring hike. Fingers crossed the weather stays nice, but please make sure your student is wearing appropriate footwear that can get muddy.
- Science Fair is March 19th, and the parent viewing is from 12:30-1:30. We know it is convenient for some families to pick up their students at the end of that viewing, so please let us know if that is your plan! You’ll need to check out with Kelly so we can make sure we have eyes on all of our students on a day with a lot of visitors and movement. We appreciate the help!
- There is no school on March 20th as a teacher training day, which means that spring break starts early! Spring break is officially from March 23rd-27th, and if you have plans or trips that extend past that time, we’d appreciate a heads up.
- April 23rd is the Arbor Performance Night! This is a night where Arbor students get to share their performing gifts – instruments, dancing, singing, fact recitation, martial arts, whatever your student would like to demonstrate, we will try to make happen! All students will participate in an instrument performance that they are preparing in music class and a song that they are preparing in World Language class. Beyond that, participation is entirely optional, and students can choose up to two acts (solo or group) that they’d like to do. These are student planned, so please start brainstorming with your student if it is something they’re interested in! We ask that if any songs are involved that they are Arbor appropriate.
If you have any other questions, please let us know! Have a great weekend,
Kelly, Sara, and Shelby
