Sensory Theater (June 22-26)
For Grades 1-3
Sensory Theater is an immersive, tactile, and joyful art form that can inspire young people to stretch their imaginations and dream of what worlds we can create. This one-week camp is for first- to third-graders who want to dip their toes into creativity and theater. We will encourage campers to work together and build a physical world for the audience. The week will culminate in a sharing for parents.
Dates: June 22-26; Cost: $500
Story Adaptation of My Neighbor Totoro (June 29 – July 10)
For Grades 2-8
Adaptations are an exciting method of reinventing a beloved story! This summer, the campers will be adapting Studio Ghibli’s classic, My Neighbour Totoro. There will be a show at the end of the two weeks, open to the OFS Summer community.
Dates: June 29 – July 10; Cost: $1000
Advanced Theater: Devising (July 13-17)
For Grades 7-12
Devising is a tool to build your own story from scratch in a collaborative manner. This is an advanced camp for older campers and/or campers with some performance experience who want to develop their theater skills, writing and directing. We will explore how to break the boundaries of what art can be as a future passion and career. There will be a show at the end of the week, open to the OFS Summer community.
Dates: July 13-17; Cost: $500
