Field Trip Lunch & CPG Community Meeting

Hello Moon and Sun Families

Because our field trip to the theater this week will mean a later-than-usual start to lunch time, we have a request.

On this Thursday, please send in a brown bag lunch for us to eat after the performance. Brown Bag means no silverware, thermoses, insulated containers, etc., just a simple lunch that will be easy to open and eat in the bus if needed, or a suitable picnic spot. Even if we need to return and eat at school, a simplified lunch will be helpful.

Please have foods that your child can open/unwrap and eat, and include a small drink. (Juice, milk, or water.) Kindly avoid tube (or cup) yogurt, raisins in boxes, anything messy to open or eat, and anything that your child can not manage on their own.

Suggestions:

  • A sandwich wrapped in foil or in a bag.
  • Grapes or apple slices.
  • Dried fruit.
  • Fresh Baby Carrots or peppers.
  • A banana.
  • Pretzels or crispy snack.
  • Crackers and cheese.

As always, please honor our nut-safe policy, avoiding any foods which “contain” or “may contain” nuts or nut pieces.

Also, please know that you are always welcome to attend Friday morning Community Meetings (CMs), which take place at 9:00 in the Parish Hall. This week our classes have been asked to share something on the theme of Generosity, so our students will be performing a short song for everyone. Additionally, the first CM of each month is when birthdays in that month are celebrated (along with any missed in previous months – and with July half birthdays celebrated in January & August half birthdays in February.)–
