Little Explorers (Age 2-3)
Our Little Explorers program welcomes toddlers for a splashing-good time this summer! In an environment of familiar surroundings and caregivers, campers engage through stories, song and play while developing a sense of independence through daily and routine activities, like lunchtime, nap time, and self-care.
Each session has two weeks of related themes with in-house field trips, music, games, crafts, and water play. Both half-day (9:00 am - 12:00 pm) and full-day (9:00 am - 3:00 pm) options are available, with opportunities for before care and after care for campers needing extended hours.
Half-Day campers experience the majority of the day's action, including any crafts, outdoor playtime, and story time. Full-Day campers enjoy a packed lunch from home with the teachers and friends, followed by a restful nap period before resuming with our end-of-day routines.
Little Explorers is open to current or newly enrolled Oneness-Family School students. Prospective families are encouraged to apply for our school-year preschool programs.

Peace Weavers (Age 3-6)
The Peace Weavers program offers a traditional day-camp experience with weekly field trips to museums, parks, theaters, and other venues for fun learning for children age 3 ½ to 6-years-old.
A typical Peace Weaver day is packed with outdoor playtime, songs and sharing, circle time with stories, water play, field trips (COVID-19 permitting), and materials to build and create within the classroom. Past field trip destinations have included the US Botanical Garden, the National Zoo and Smithsonian Museums, Clemyjontri Park, Rock Creek Park and Planetarium, and local organic farms. All campers enjoy a packed lunch together outside as a group each day.
Both half-day (9:00 am - 1:00 pm) and full-day (9:00 am - 3:00 pm) options are available, with opportunities for before and after care for campers needing extended hours.

Additional Information
Age Range: Your camper must be 3 ½ years old by the start of their camp session or week. This means that if your child is turning 3 years and 6 months in mid-July, then that child may enroll and start in Peace Weavers on the Monday of the week immediately following the 6-month mark.
Children up to 6 ½ years-old and entering 1st grade in the fall may also participate in Peace Weavers. Rising first graders are also welcome to enroll in Earth Keepers.
Bathroom Independence: Campers must be bathroom independent in order to participate with Peace Weavers. We define bathroom independence as the child being able to identify his or her own needs, and taking and completing actions independently (e.g. wiping, flushing, washing hands).
If you have any questions or require further clarification, please contact Summer Camp Director, Karen Donovan.
Earth Keepers (Grades 1-5)
Earth Keepers expands on Oneness-Family's environmental awareness and appreciation curriculum. Engaging lessons combined with daily field trips to national and state parks, beaches, preservation sites and the pool make this one of the most fun and meaningful camp experiences in the area for children in first through fifth grade.
In the past, Earth Keepers have trekked the nature trails of Lake Needwood, Great Falls, Flag Pond, Calvert Cliffs, Merrimac Farm, and Sandy Point State Park to name a few. Campers enjoy regular trips to local lakes, waterholes, pools and beaches to cool off, as well as special trips to indoor rock-climbing or jumping facilities. The Earth Keepers also draw pictures, write stories and take meditative moments to reflect on the needs and beauty of the earth.
The camp day begins with arrival from 8:30-9:00 am, and campers will depart on the bus promptly at 9:00. The camp day ends at 3:00 pm, with opportunities for before and after care for campers needing extended hours.

Oneness Theater Program (Grades 3-8)
Students from 3rd through 8th grade are invited to learn about drama in this three-week program, and will explore all the elements that make up a theater performance, with a focus on meaningful stories and social change.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in just the first week (July 10-14) or the whole three weeks (July 10-28). All three weeks will engage with political and social change theatre.
Week 1: SKILLS
Students will focus on building skills in acting, set design, and physical theatre through drama games and play. This week is intended for students who have not necessarily done theatre before, and are interested in trying out a new camp! It’s more relaxed than the full three-week program, with less pressure.
Week 2 and 3: SHOW
Students will explore directing, stage managing, producing and ensemble work. These two weeks are a progression that builds on the skills from the first week but will intensify as we engage in the process of preparing for a summer student show, which the students will perform for the Oneness community as a culmination of their learning.
The Ethos of OFS Theater
- Young actors must work within a community, learning about the commitment and dedication that is required to do a show.
- We think holistically and socially about theater and the context of the play in the world.
The camp day begins with arrival from 8:30-9:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm, with opportunities for before and after care for those needing extended hours.
Dates: July 10-28
Program Cost: $1,500 (3 weeks) or $500 (1 week)
