African Ambassadors visited Oneness-Family on Wednesday,
January 15th, to express their appreciation for the school's recent efforts
on behalf of the people of Africa.
Students and families of Oneness-Family School gathered and
mailed over 70 boxes of food, clothing and medical supplies to help the
African people as they recover from years of strife. Students also prepared
dozens of "Kid's Kits," specifically intended for African children. "Kid's
Kits" included items such as a ball, a stuffed animal, a pencil and pad, and
a photo of the student preparing the kit.

Oneness
selected the United Nations African Project as its primary community service
project for 2002 because, as founder and Executive Director, Andrew Kutt,
says, "a part of our school's mission is to empower our students to
have a positive impact in the world. It seemed fitting to support the African
project since Africa is experiencing such hardship."
Mr. Kutt adds that "it is essential that young people learn that
the solutions to the world's problems begin with them. They need to be
empowered to feel that they can make a difference. And they need to discover,
or recover, the feeling of wanting to make a difference."
