Admissions Checklist
- Parents attend an Open House and tour the School.
- Parents submit the following application materials:
- Application Form
- Confidential Student Recommendation Form
- Grades 1-8: submit two (2) completed by your child’s current classroom teachers.
- Ages 2-6 (Little Stars-Kindergarten)
- Little Stars Program applicants: submit one (1) completed by past or current teachers or caregivers or extended family members.
- Preschool-Kindergarten applicants:
submit two (2) completed by past or current teachers or caregivers or extended family members.
- Transcripts from your child’s current school, if applicable.
Complete and submit the Transcript Release Form directly to the current school, with a stamped envelope addressed to:

- Any Psychoeducational or other evaluations.
- $50 nonrefundable application fee
Please make check
payable to the Oneness-Family School. Please include your child’s name in the memo.
- The admissions committee reviews the application materials. They decide whether the application should proceed to the next stage to schedule a student visit.
- During the student visit, the teacher will meet your child and observe him or her in the classroom. Your child will experience the Montessori environment and will engage in classroom activities. The length of your child’s visit is based on age/grade level, and additional visits may be required.

- After the student visit, the admissions committee decides whether the application should proceed with a Parent-Teacher meeting.
- As soon as all supporting documents are received, your child’s application is considered complete.
Once these steps have been completed, the Director of Admissions works together with an Admissions Committee to evaluate your child’s application, that is in the best interest of your child and the School. The decision to accept your child is based on consideration of OFS curriculum and philosophy meeting your child’s needs, needs of the classroom and the dynamics of the teacher/parent relationship.
You will be notified by telephone of the admission decision. If your child is accepted, a confirmation letter and Enrollment Contract will be mailed to you.
