Our Annual Festival of Lights and Holiday Bazaar was on Friday, December 16, 2011. This event is a celebration of the light within all religions and sacred places. During November and December, the classes schedule field trips to various places of
worship. These world religion studies culminate in the students' presentation at the festival. Classes shared a play, music, song, and art to honor the winter season!
Specific performances included:
Children's Peace Garden (Ages 3-6) ~ Song of the stork Black Elk, a Native American holy man
Peace Arbor (Grades 1-3) ~ Song from South Africa: Siyahamba
Peace Academy (Grades 4 & 5) ~ A short play about a world creation myth
Peace Ambassadors (Grades 6-8) ~ Song and dance to "One Day" by Matisyahu
Holiday Bazaar
Our Holiday Bazaar was a huge success! Vendors from around the community sold their crafts and fair trade items such as handmade embroidered silk clothing, pottery, fresh holiday breads, books, paintings, teas, jewelry.
Students sold handmade items including tins of mini-cookies, Beads for Life bracelets, Japanese origami mobiles and calendars. It is safe to say, that these items were gone quickly!

Diversity and Inclusion at Oneness-Family School
Almost 23 years ago, Andrew Kutt founded Oneness-Family School based on the principles of inclusion, peace and harmony and a recognition that education is fundamental in advancing these causes. Today, Oneness appreciates and embraces the diversity of our local and global community and recognizes that it is a key
component of achieving many of the School's founding principles.
In furtherance of our school’s commitment to diversity, inclusion and embracing our world community, OFS has developed a diversity commitee to ensure that the school's curriculum, culture and operational plans fulfill the school's mission to celebrate and reflect the diversity of our human race in all its forms (e.g., race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, physical attributes, sexual orientation, socio-economic, etc.). Please click here for suggested readings for both adults and children, as well as local places to go as a family that may help broaden your child's view of the world.
